TTI Techtronic Industries – Anderson, SC – 1,300,000 SF

TTI Techtronic Industries manufactures consumer, professional and industrial products from power tools to appliances. 

It has corporate, design, warehouse, and engineering operations in the upstate region of South Carolina and was seeking to improve efficiency and productivity while increasing distribution volume for its outdoor products and power tools. After a regional site selection process, Red Rock Developments was chosen to develop a 300-acre greenfield site near the intersection of I-85 and S.C. Highway 81 (Exit 27) in Anderson County, South Carolina.

The location is halfway between Charlotte and Atlanta in the I-85 distribution corridor. In addition to building a 1.3 million square foot distribution, assembly, and reconditioning center, the site needed connecting roads and an extension of utility service. The resulting $85 million development helped TTI to better serve its customers while consolidating warehouse operations. The S.C. Coordinating Council for Economic Development approved job development tax credits for this project. The new facility allowed TTI to create more than 200 jobs for which it will receive some state-sponsored training assistance.
