Meet the Team: Cherie Sanderson

Our Red Rock Employee Spotlight of the week is Cherie K. Sanderson. Cherie grew up through elementary school in San Antonio, TX! She eventually made her way to South Carolina at 13, right before Hurricane Hugo. She went to a tiny high school in Holly Hill with a graduating class of only 15! After high school graduation, Cherie flipped the script and attended one of the largest schools in the south, the University of Florida. Go Gators! Cherie received her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from UF. Before working at Red Rock, Cherie accumulated over two decades of accounting experience, including a 12-year run ending as a Tax Director for Grant Thornton LLP. Cherie is married to her husband Brad and has four children: her oldest son Campbell (12), her daughters are Irish twins Clara (9) and Bentley (8), and her youngest son Bishop (3). Cherie and her family also have a dog named Maggie. Cherie’s main goal for 2023 is to manage her work/life balance effectively. The part of her workday that she enjoys the most would have to be getting things checked off the never-ending to-do list! When Cherie isn’t working, you can find her popping a bag of popcorn to snack on while watching BRAVO. Now residing in Lexington, SC, Cherie and her family are members of Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church.

Cherie is one of the best and brightest in the industry. June of this year will mark her 2nd anniversary at Red Rock Developments.

We can’t begin to express what a game-changer it has been to have Cherie on our team over the last 22 months. We are very fortunate to have people like her as part of Red Rock Developments.
