Fun Facts: Last fall, after years of working with the children’s programs at church, I decided to start a new adult Sunday School class. Also, I have been trying to teach myself how to grow a garden in my small backyard using raised beds for the past two years. My thumb isn’t very green, but I have been successful with a few varieties of vegetables, primarily peppers, sweet potatoes, and green beans. One area of struggle has been learning to recognize and treat the various diseases that vegetables struggle with, so some plants have been a challenge. That said, my fig tree has more than tripled in size over the past two years, so this year, we will have figs coming out our ears!
Family: Married to Sarah Coyle for 22 years. We have three kids (all boys): Pace (18), Rett (12), and Grady (9). We also have a two-year-old Red Heeler mix.
Quote I Live By: Like probably many of you, I must watch what I say when I am stressed or when things aren’t going my way. During times like this, I like to remind myself that Matthew 12:34b (NLT) warns us that “For whatever is in your heart determines what you say.” This means that I should be careful about my thoughts and what I dwell on internally because they will fill my heart until it overflows. When that happens, I begin expressing my thoughts with my mouth, and unfortunately, that is not always a good thing.
