Red Rock Developments Expands Team
Firm adds Executive Vice President of Construction
September 22, 2022
Columbia, SC and Charlotte, NC based Red Rock Developments has been actively developing class A industrial projects for the past 15 years. A thriving industrial market, along with a $200 million industrial development fund, is fueling Red Rock Developments’ expansion at an unprecedented rate. This growth calls for additional talent to join the leadership team, and Scott Austin is stepping into this role. He will serve as Executive Vice President of Construction and will be based out of the firm’s Charlotte, NC, regional office.
“We are thrilled to add Scott to our team. After working with him for over 12 years in his role at Conlan, we knew his skills were a fit for our company as we position ourselves for continued growth and expansion into new markets,” said John Barker, Jr. SIOR, President, and Chief Development Officer of Red Rock Developments.
With over 30 years in the construction industry, Scott has joined Red Rock Developments to bring his extensive knowledge and understanding of pre-construction services and project management to the team. Scott’s primary focus in recent years has included light industrial distribution centers, manufacturing facilities, and corporate low rise office buildings. Scott was previously with The Conlan Company where he started in 1993 and served in several senior positions including Executive Vice President from 2020 to 2022.
